The Challenge: Balancing Aesthetic Appeal with Durability
The client needed a flooring solution that would enhance the aesthetic of their commercial space while standing up to heavy foot traffic and daily wear and tear. The challenge was to find materials that could provide both comfort and durability, while also being easy to maintain and visually appealing.
Our solution: Blue vinyl carpet tiles (VCT) and light beige luxury vinyl (LVP)
After evaluating the client’s needs, we proposed a combination of 24-inch by 24-inch blue glue-down carpet tiles and light beige glue-down LVP. This combination is not only practical but also delivers a modern aesthetic that fits well in any commercial setting.
- Blue carpet tiles: These tiles were chosen for their bold color, comfort, and performance. The blue hue provides a striking visual contrast and adds a dynamic touch to the space, while the carpet’s inherent stain resistance and acoustic properties make it ideal for high-traffic areas. The tiles help absorb sound, creating a quieter, more comfortable environment for employees and visitors.
- Light beige luxury vinyl plank (LVP): The light beige LVP offers a clean, natural wood look that helps brighten the space and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the LVP is highly durable, moisture-resistant, and easy to maintain, making it perfect for areas that are exposed to wear and moisture.
Step 1: Preparing the space for installation
Before we could install the new flooring, we began by thoroughly prepping the area. This included removing any existing flooring, cleaning the subfloor, and ensuring that the surface was smooth and ready for installation.
- Floor preparation: We took extra care to ensure that the surface was free from debris and adhesive residue from the previous flooring. This preparation ensures proper adhesion of the glue-down tiles and planks, creating a smooth and long-lasting result.
Step 2: Installing the blue carpet tiles
Next, we began installing the blue glue-down carpet tiles in the designated areas. The tiles were carefully arranged in a pattern to maximize the visual impact while ensuring that they were securely adhered to the subfloor.
- Installation precision: We focused on proper alignment and precise placement, ensuring that the tiles fit together seamlessly for a uniform and aesthetically pleasing finish. The blue tiles added both comfort and style, with the added benefit of stain resistance and acoustic properties that are ideal for high-traffic commercial spaces.
Step 3: Installing the light beige LVP
In the next phase, we laid down the light beige LVP in the remaining spaces. This flooring was designed to mimic natural wood, bringing warmth and sophistication to the space while providing high durability and moisture resistance.
- Seamless fit: The LVP planks were installed with attention to detail, ensuring that the seams were tight and the planks were evenly aligned, which contributes to a cohesive and professional appearance. This flooring choice not only complements the blue carpet tiles but also stands up to heavy foot traffic and is easy to maintain.

The result: A modern, durable flooring solution
The finished product transformed the space into a vibrant, modern environment that is both visually striking and highly functional. The blue carpet tiles provided comfort and acoustic benefits, while the light beige LVP offered a sleek, natural look with superior durability.
- Aesthetic impact: The combination of blue and beige tones created a striking contrast, making the space visually dynamic and welcoming.
- Long-lasting performance: The durable carpet tiles and LVP provide a flooring solution that will withstand the rigors of high-traffic areas, while the ease of maintenance ensures that the space remains looking pristine for years to come.
Client feedback
The client was extremely satisfied with the results, noting that the new flooring not only enhances the overall aesthetic of the space but also addresses the practical needs of a commercial environment. The combination of stain-resistant carpet tiles and durable, moisture-resistant LVP provides a long-lasting solution that will continue to perform well in high-traffic areas.
